M. P. Ahammed is a leading Indian Buinessman from Kozhikode (formerly known as Calicut), Kerala, India. He is widely known for being the founder of Malabar Gold (rebranded as Malabar Gold and Diamonds in 2012), one of the largest retail jewellery groups in the world. He is also the Chairman of Malabar Group, under which are various ventures such as Malabar Gold and Diamonds and Malabar Developers.
As a child, he was intimated by the art of business. At a very young age, he ventured into his first business venture of agro products. Later in 1981, at the age of 24,he started his first business venture of agro products into spices and copra (dry coconut shell) business. Though the initial marks were set, the business went down in time. But through the years he gained the trust as a businessman, mostly due to his transparency and honesty.

After venturing into the gold and diamond industry, he has also entered other sectors such as real-estate development. Currently he aims at making Malabar Gold and Diamonds the world’s number one jewellery group by the end of 2015.

Pratyaasha, an act of providing economic help for the women from under-privileged families, was conducted in September 21st, 2014.
M.P. Ahammed contributes Rs. 11 lakh towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. The amount was handed over to Sri. Venkaiah Naidu, the Hon. Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Urban Development.
